Today, the Deputy Director of the Directorate of Military Intelligence (DMI), Brigadier John Kirimi, paid an official visit to the Kenya Space Agency (KSA) Headquarters. He was warmly received by the Director General of KSA, Brigadier Hillary Kipkosgey, who briefed him on the Agency’s mandate and provided a guided tour of its facilities.
During the visit, Brig. Kirimi was appraised on the Agency’s core functions, ongoing programs, and its strategic vision and mission. He was also taken through key departments of the Agency, including:
Earth Observation (EO)
Space Systems Engineering
Space Science and Astronomy.
Space Education and Awareness
Brig. Kirimi commended the Agency for its efforts in advancing Kenya’s space capabilities and enhancing national security through innovative technologies. He further emphasized the importance of continued collaboration between defence and space sectors in strengthening Kenya’s strategic position both regionally and globally.
The visit underscored the growing synergy between the Kenya Space Agency and Defence Military Intelligence in leveraging space science and technology to support national development and security.
